A nickel-iron-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum and copper. Alloy 20 has great resistance to pitting, general corrosion, and crevice corrosion in chemicals containing sulfuric, nitric, and phosphoric acids as well as chlorides. It also contains niobium for stabilization and is used for piping, tanks, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and other process equipment.
