The specially designed torsion springs exert a lifting motion on the discs to prevent excessive wear of the "heel" area of the seats. On site service may be done without special tools. The independent, dual shaft design allows interchangeability of shafts. The stop shaft stabilizes the discs during high flow rates.

    The contoured disc of the Chester lifts easily off the seat to open the valve. The aifoil design of the disc allows it to "float" on the flow. Rugged disc stops built into the body position the disc for optimum flow characteristics. Large body cavity helps minimize flow restriction. The valve functions smoothly and silently in both horizontal and vertical up-flow lines.
